Arthur Teng is a self taught photographer who has won numerous local and international
photography awards which include : Image Hong Kong Grand Finals Photo Contest 1990"
in Hong Kong. He was also appointed as Nikon's Honourary Official Photographer in
Malaysia from 1988-1990.
His subjects include landscapes,
people's lifestyles, graphics and abstracts. He is skilled in turning the most ordinary
moment into a work of art, which contributes to the uniqueness of his photographs.
His most famous work is "Rustic Malaysia - A Pictorial Journey"
which was published in 1994 which captures intimate and picturesque images of Malaysia,
its people and cultures. In 1995, he contributed images to another coffee-table book
"The Philippines-A journey through the archipelago".
In addition, his images have appeared in travel magazines and books such as Going
Places, Wings of Gold, Action Asia; APA's Insight Guides series on Malaysia.
He has held 10 solo photography exhibitions, (including one solo show in Hersegade,
Denmark and one in Jakarta, Indonesia) and 11 group exhibitions.
